I call this mid century era room box Waiting For Guests. Using wood crate type box from Michaels I added cardboard floor covered with paper flooring & carpet, wallpaper, partial room divider, ceiling lamp, curtain & curtain rod, painting, shelf, non opening door, all attached with glue.
Rita & Ron are expecting some guests to arrive for their cocktail party. Ron is in charge of drinks & Rita has made a party platter filled with bread, meat, cheese & her famous onion dip. Both hope Ron’s best friend George doesn’t double dip this time. Last party they had George & another guest almost came to blows over George’s faux pas.

Other items have been in my collection for awhile, including the Mattel Barbie Corningware Casserole Covered Dish. I made the nonworking ceiling lamp, pillow, cocktail napkins & added the food items to the party platter, onion dip is made of acrylic white paint w/green garnish added & then left to dry & harden. Had to reattach back legs on chair.
Scale is 1:16. Size of room box is 5 & 3/4” tall x 14 & 7/8” long x 5” deep. For adult collectors only, small items pose choking hazard to infants and young children. Will combine shipping.
