Dollhouse Room Box-Mid Century Architecture-Roof Lifts Off, Vintage Marx, MPC

Here is a Mid Century style dollhouse I made out of cardboard & paper. This house is all enclosed but you can see inside thru the 2 front windows. I made a roof that lifts off so you have access to the interior. I cut out sky lights on the roof to add more light inside. The plastic door was from a large furniture lot I bought a few years ago that included doors & windows from an old tin dollhouse. The door opens a little bit. I had to add a glob of hot glue to top corner, otherwise the door would come off. I added paper to the floor & attached 2 walls. Added a groovy wallpaper to the partial dividing wall between living room & kitchen. The exterior is covered with grey card stock & a stone design adhesive backed paper that is used for buildings in railroad modeling. For the white trim around windows cut strips from adhesive backed address labels.
It’s 7:20 AM & Bill is getting breakfast ready for himself & his wife Sandy who’s in the shower( in the imaginary bathroom behind the door that doesn’t open.) Bill is the supervisor for a small construction company & Sandy works for a textile company. They pooled their resources together & were able to buy this house after saving up for years.

I made the sofa & bed stand. The Flocked Made In Hong Kong Bed, Chair + Vanity( drawers open) & Stool have been in my collection for awhile, as have the Marx Kitchen furniture.
Scale is 1:24. Size of house is 5 & 1/2 inches high at tallest point. 11 inches long. 5 & 1/4 inches deep. For adult collectors only, small items pose choking hazard to infants and young children. Will combine shipping.
