Here is an outstanding, rare antique wood and lithographed,
blue roof
, farm house with stable and hay loft by
Moritz Gottschalk of Germany circa 1880-90.
It measures approximately, 11 1/2" by 11 1/2" high and almost 6" deep with three brass hinged working doors and all the
original finely crafted, metal railings, wood posts and double base
. All the outside
(wood & half timber)
and inside
colorful lithographed paper flooring is still firmly in place along with the wood trough for feeding the animals
. True to the 1800s European, farmhouse style of having the animals housed beneath the family living quarters it is a delight that has been treasured for several generations. Wouldn't it make a great Christmas nativity setting as well? There are no cracks or water damage, no structure defects or repairs and no odors as it is from a smoke free home.
